Como Driver Services has been providing private transfer services for many years, from the province of Como to Venice. This evocative city built on water is a popular destination for many of our clients, drawn by the charm of St. Mark’s Square, the palaces overlooking the Grand Canal, and the art and history that make Venice truly unique.
We put our customers’ needs first, which is why our luxury cars and minivans (Mercedes) with private driver are priced honestly. We aim to meet your expectations, while offering competitive prices compared to taxi prices in Venice and its province. If needed, we can also assist you in arranging a water taxi from Piazzale Roma to your hotel or apartment.
Our prices are inclusive of all costs, no hidden fees. Please contact us to receive a free personalised quote, without obligation.

We can issue both invoices and receipts. We work reliably and professionally, and all our services comply with the current legislation on private driver and taxi hire. Unlike taxi services, which are not required by law to issue any kind of receipt, private chauffeur companies are legally obliged to issue proper documentation.
It is possible for you to pay a private car or minivan driver in cash. We also accept all credit cards, as well as bank transfers. When preparing your free quote, we can select the best payment method and offers for you, according to the type of service required.
For any changes that cannot be accommodated (such as departure time, destination, or number of passengers) or cancellations made between 7 days and 72 hours before the start of the service, a 50% refund of the total amount will be issued. For changes or cancellations made less than 72 hours before the service begins, no refund will be provided.
When using one of Como Driver Services’ private chauffeurs, you may deduct the cost of the service in your personal or company tax declaration, if your tax system allows it. Upon payment, our driver will issue a receipt or an invoice, that you can then use for your tax deduction. Please check with your accountant to learn more about tax deductions for private transfers.
All our drivers are native Italian speakers, but they also speak good English, so chatting and getting around won’t be a problem. Your driver will take you wherever you need to go and wait for you for the whole duration of your booking. They’re there to help with anything you need and to take you anywhere around Lake Como.

Como Driver Services is based in the province of Como and our customers are international travellers who come to our beautiful lake, for business or pleasure. The drive from Como to Venice crosses much of Lombardy and Veneto, covering around 300 km and taking approximately 3 hours under ideal traffic conditions.
The most common route goes through Milan and then along the A4 motorway, one of the busiest highways in Italy, especially on weekends and during peak tourist seasons. Along the way, the scenery shifts between urban areas, industrial zones, and wide plains, until you approach the Venetian lagoon. Here the landscape changes dramatically, and crossing the Ponte della Libertà offers your first glimpse of Venice.
Reaching Venice by car comes with several challenges, particularly during high tourist periods. Private vehicles are not allowed in the historic center and must stop at large parking areas such as Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto, which are often expensive and limited in availability. From there, travelers must continue on foot or by vaporetto, which can be tiring after hours on the road. Public transportation also has its drawbacks: trains to Venezia Santa Lucia are frequent, but during peak season they can be overcrowded, with bulky luggage and long waiting times.
As a result, getting to Venice during busy periods can be quite stressful, requiring careful planning to avoid traffic, long queues, and overcrowding – especially for those who want to start their stay in a relaxed way. Arriving in Venice with our Private Chauffeur service removes all these concerns, allowing you to enjoy the journey without worrying about parking or logistics.
Thanks to our private driver service, you can travel safely, with professional drivers who will be more than happy to recommend the best places to visit during your stay. We also organise transfers and private chauffeur services in the rest of Italy – please contact us for a free quote.
