Prices for a private driver service in Lugano and Canton Ticino are calculated according to the distance (in km), the cost of fuel, any tolls to be paid, the salary of a professional driver, insurance costs and 10% VAT (included). The amounts shown on our price list may vary depending on:

DO YOU NEED AN INVOICE OR A RECEIPT?
We can issue both invoices and receipts. We work reliably and professionally, and all our services comply with the current legislation on private driver and taxi hire. Unlike taxi services, which are not required by law to issue any kind of receipt, private chauffeur companies are legally obliged to issue proper documentation.
HOW AND WHEN TO PAY THE DRIVER?
It is possible for you to pay a private car or minivan driver in cash. We also accept all credit cards, as well as bank transfers. When preparing your free quote, we can select the best payment method and offers for you, according to the type of service required.
CAN I CANCEL THE SERVICE?
For any changes that cannot be accommodated (such as departure time, destination, or number of passengers) or cancellations made between 7 days and 72 hours before the start of the service, a 50% refund of the total amount will be issued. For changes or cancellations made less than 72 hours before the service begins, no refund will be provided.
TAX DEDUCTIONS
When using one of Como Driver Services’ private chauffeurs, you may deduct the cost of the service in your personal or company tax declaration, if your tax system allows it. Upon payment, our driver will issue a receipt or an invoice, that you can then use for your tax deduction. Please check with your accountant to learn more about tax deductions for private transfers.
COMMUNICATION AND WAITING TIMES
All our drivers are native Italian speakers, but they also speak good English, so chatting and getting around won’t be a problem. Your driver will take you wherever you need to go and wait for you for the whole duration of your booking. They’re there to help with anything you need and to take you anywhere around Lake Como.
