Prices for a private driver service from Milan to Courmayeur (Mont Blanc) are calculated according to the distance (in km), the cost of fuel, any tolls to be paid, the salary of a professional driver, insurance costs and 10% VAT (included). The amounts shown on our price list may vary depending on:

DO YOU NEED AN INVOICE OR A RECEIPT?
We can issue both invoices and receipts. We work reliably and professionally, and all our services comply with the current legislation on private driver and taxi hire. Unlike taxi services, which are not required by law to issue any kind of receipt, private chauffeur companies are legally obliged to issue proper documentation.
HOW AND WHEN TO PAY THE DRIVER?
It is possible for you to pay a private car or minivan driver in cash. We also accept all credit cards, as well as bank transfers. When preparing your free quote, we can select the best payment method and offers for you, according to the type of service required.
CAN I CANCEL THE SERVICE?
For any changes that cannot be accommodated (such as departure time, destination, or number of passengers) or cancellations made between 7 days and 72 hours before the start of the service, a 50% refund of the total amount will be issued. For changes or cancellations made less than 72 hours before the service begins, no refund will be provided.
TAX DEDUCTIONS
When using one of Como Driver Services’ private chauffeurs, you may deduct the cost of the service in your personal or company tax declaration, if your tax system allows it. Upon payment, our driver will issue a receipt or an invoice, that you can then use for your tax deduction. Please check with your accountant to learn more about tax deductions for private transfers.
COMMUNICATION AND WAITING TIMES
All our drivers are native Italian speakers, but they also speak good English, so chatting and getting around won’t be a problem. The drive from Milan to Courmayeur is one of the most scenic journeys in northern Italy, covering around 220 km along the A4 motorway and then the A5 towards the Aosta Valley. As you travel westward, the landscape changes dramatically: from flat plains to increasingly narrow valleys, hilltop castles, and towering mountains, until you finally reach the foot of the Mont Blanc massif. Courmayeur welcomes visitors with its elegant Alpine atmosphere, featuring wooden chalets, mountain boutiques, and direct access to world-class ski resorts as well as the spectacular Skyway Monte Bianco, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.
The main challenges arise during peak seasons, especially in winter (for skiing) and summer (for hiking and mountain holidays). With a private car, traffic on the A5 motorway can become quite heavy, particularly on weekends, with delays near toll booths and on the final stretches leading to Courmayeur. Once you arrive, parking in the town center is limited and often paid, while some areas may also be subject to traffic restrictions or ZTL zones. Public transportation requires some planning as well: there is no direct railway station in Courmayeur, so travelers must take a train to Aosta or Pré-Saint-Didier and continue by bus, dealing with connections and longer travel times.
During the busiest periods, with large numbers of skiers and tourists, both roads and public transport can become crowded, making careful travel planning essential in order to fully enjoy the destination without unnecessary stress.
